Hey Walking and Hiking friends!
Do you like to walk or hike like I do? Then you have come to the right place. As one of the authors for this site, I live just minutes from one of the most beloved National Parks in the America, The Great Smoky Mountains. The entire East Tennessee region is nothing but rolling countryside, with some of the most beautiful scenery you’ll ever see. This is walking and hiking heaven for sure.

Taking a walk is the answer. If you have the time, plan a hike. I have to admit, I am one of the worst when it comes to sitting at my desk all day on the computer. Plus our jobs often keep us very sedentary. When I was younger and had more time, I would pack a lunch and head up to the nearby Smoky Mountains for a day hike with friends. Or perhaps drive over to one of the community greenways, or the state park in the area. Now I take my dog for an enjoyable walk around the neighborhood. It lifts my spirits and gets my body moving. Feels so great!
